The Orlando
The Orlando Hotel (formerly known as the 'Railway Lodge Guesthouse'), is a newly renovated eight bedroom boutique hotel only 3 minutes walk from Cambridge central train station, and a 10 to 15 minute walk to Cambridge city centre and the iconic Cambridge University colleges.
Each room at the Orlando has a private ensuite glass walled bathroom, large flatscreen TV, writing desk and chair, room fridge, bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries, complimentary wifi, and a keyless / contactless 24hour entry system.
The 'Orlando' Hotel is named after the renaissance composer Orlando Gibbons (1583 - 1625) who studied at King's College Cambridge. The Orlando is managed by Claire Bracher whose first career was as a professional viola da gamba performer, and for ten years as a professor of the viola da gamba at the Royal College of Music in London.
